Facebookの合衆国のビジターが1億に近づき, バックミラーの中のTwitterの姿が遠ざかる Facebookの合衆国のユニークビジター数は1億に迫り、Twitterとの差が拡大している。4月にはユニークビジター数の差が約5000万（Twitter1700万、Facebook6700万）だったが、9月ではその差が7500万近くある（いずれも合衆国のみの数値）。 ただし、前にも述べたように、Twitterの場合のcomScoreのユニークビジター数はTwitter.comへの明示的なアクセスのみだ。Twitterのユーザの半分以上はWebサイトを自分で訪れることをせず、彼らが使う各種のTwitterアプリケーションがTwitterのAPIを直接呼び出しているから、その数はWebのアクセス統計には表れない。だからTwitterのオーディエンス数は、Webの統計値よりはずっと多い。
